– BOLOGNA, OCTOBER 16 –  SEMINAR – HOW TO EXPORT IN USA WITH SUCCESS (FOCUS ON THE CANADIAN MARKET)

The training meeting is organized by Euro Servizi Imprese and concerns the agri-food sector, with particular focus on US and Canadian regulations on food safety. The CSIC will offer the participants an overview of the sector in question, as it presents itself in relation to the Canadian market, with comparative data and statistics, all in the context of the first year of application of CETA.

– ROME, OCTOBER 25 – THE STRATEGIC AND ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT BETWEEN EU AND CANADA: SPA AND CETA (CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE LAZIO ASSOCIATION OF JOURNALISTS)

The training meeting is organized as Continuing Professional Development for the Lazio Association of Journalists. On this occasion, in addition to the genesis of the Agreement and the internal problems faced by Canada (and Québec) during the negotiation, the informational principles and contents of the Strategic Partnership Agreement will be exposed (the Canada-EU policy agreement signed a few months before the CETA’s entry into force) and, to follow, in-depth analysis will be provided on the most controversial sectors of CETA, from the recognition of GIs to their protection. A focus will be dedicated to innovations in the field of intellectual property, with particular attention to the pharmaceutical and medical-sanitary equipment sector, and finally the new system for resolving disputes between the State and private investor will be studied, precisely because of the significant problems raised, it was excluded from the provisional execution.

– POLLICA, OCTOBER 27 – SEMINAR – FOOD, ART AND CULTURE OF CILENTO: INNOVATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM A STIMULUS TO GROW IN ITALY AND ABROAD

The CSIC returns to Cilento (after participating in the Conference at Confindustria Salerno in November 2017): in Pollica the meeting on Food, Art and Culture of Cilento is sponsored by the Municipality and organized by the Fair Association. In the section dedicated to “opportunities abroad” this year the organizers have identified in Canada the market to be examined. The presence of small firms of excellence in the Agri-food sector will also be a stimulus for an open discussion on the subjects of controversial debate among the “Italian excellence” following the provisional execution of the Canada-EU CETA economic agreement and the exclusion of some IGs from the agreement, considered worthy of protection.

Pollica – October 27

10.00 am – 1.00 pm
