Delight your palate with the extraordinary taste of Italian cuisine by dining at the participating restaurants/gelateria during the “Italian Restaurant Weeks” from November 22nd-28th. Organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada–West, in collaboration and with support of the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver and the Italian Trade Commission, this special celebration of Italian cuisine takes place in a selection of fine Italian restaurants, Caffe’ and gelateria located in BC. For one week, all participating restaurants will be featuring a new item on their menu (a first course, a second course, or even a two-course meal) or will be offering an old-time favourite at a special price.

BC – Italian Dish Competition


The BC’s Culinary Schools Competition is going to take place at VCC- Vancouver Community College, within the framework of the World Week of Italian Cuisine 2021, a worldwide initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, implemented with the support of Italian Embassies, Consulates and Chambers of Commerce around the world.


The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West (ICCBC) in collaboration and with support of the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver and the Italian Trade Commission, aims at organizing a province-wide competition among the culinary schools in British Columbia for the preparation and presentation of the best “BC-Italian Dish” that will feature a combination of local fresh BC’s and authentic Italian ingredients.

VCC- Vancouver Community College from 10am to 1.15pm. Competitors should arrive 30 minutes prior the beginning of the competition.

World Week Of Italian Cuisine

Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is dedicated to promoting quality Italian cuisine and our agri-food products abroad.


Tradition and perspectives of Italian cuisine: awareness and enhancement of food sustainability‘ is the main theme of the VI edition, which combines the promotion of Italian food products with the enhancement of the Mediterranean Diet, as a model of healthy and sustainable diet and lifestyle.

The event, which will take place from 22 to 28 November 2021 throughout the diplomatic-consular network abroad, has established itself over the years as one of the leading initiatives to promote the best of the Italian agri-food chain and food and wine tradition abroad, proving to be one of the pillars of the internationalization strategy of Made in Italy, as outlined in the Pact for Export.
