Cioffi’s Meat Market &
Deli, located in Burnaby Heights, is looking for a full-time Butcher’s
Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the Butcher in
meat cutting and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Specific duties include:
• Vacuum packing orders for restaurants •
Grinding meat • Keeping works areas clean and organized including
fridges/freezers, and countertops • Ensures that all meat products are
handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with Food
Safety guidelines • Report any and all deficiencies in meat equipment
functionality and quality of food products to Butcher in a timely
fashion • Complete other job related duties as assigned by the Butcher
• Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure
a clean and safe working environment In this role, the successful
person will possess: • Good organization skills • A positive attitude,
including a desire to learn • Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills Minimum qualifications: • Ability to recognize different cuts of
meats: lamb, beef, chicken and other meats • Ability to lift up to 50
pounds • Ability to work week days and week ends.
