MACEF 2008 : ¨International Home Show¨
January 18th to 21st
The Italian Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Fiera Milano, has the pleasure of inviting Members to the 84th edition of Macef (www.macef.it), one of the largest international home, giftware, jewellery and decorations exhibitions, reserved exclusively for trade operators, retailers, architects, interior designers and professionals.
This year, the event will take place from January 18th to the 21st, 2008, in the beautiful new Fiera Milano Rho Pero exhibition center, which offers participants more than 106 000 sqm of exhibition space. Located just outside the city limits, the center is easily accessible from the local airports and by subway from Milan.
For more than 40 years, millions of visitors from around the world have attended Macef to discover new and original products in several key sectors, such as :
§ DECORAZIONE DELLA CASA – home decoration (classic, ethnic and modern styles)
§ TAVOLA et CUCINA – kitchen and tableware, silverware
§ ARTICOLI DA REGALO – classic style and giftware,
§ BIJOUX – gold, silver and precious stones jewellery, costume jewellery
Organizers are expecting more than 2 000 exhibitors at the next edition, with 500 international booths already reserved. Many of the participants are small and medium sized artisans, who chose to exhibit their crafts exclusively at this fair, making Macef the ideal showcase for “Made in Italy” items.
During the 3 day event, the trade show will be open every day, from 9:30 am to 18:30 pm.
During your visit to Macef, you can also enjoy Milan, one of the most highly developed urban and cosmopolitan centres in Europe. It is world-renowned as a capital of fashion, design and culture. The city is famous for its fashion houses and shops (along via Montenapoleone), the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the Duomo, as well as La Scala theater.
This year, Fiera Milano will offer the opportunity to 8 Canadian operators to attend the fair and benefit from a free package that includes :
- 3 nights stay in a 4 stars hotel (Holiday Inn Porta Garibaldi);
- daily shuttle service from the hotel to the exhibition centre;
- entrance pass to the fair.

The selection of participating companies will be done by Fiera Milano representatives in Italy and you will be contacted as soon as the selection process is completed.
