Award Categories
Business Excellence Award
This award honours a business which has demonstrated outstanding achievement in all categories- leadership, innovation, entrepreneurialism, philanthropy, and community involvement, as well as contributing to the arts.
Young Entrepreneur Award
This award honours a business whose management is under 40 and demonstrates outstanding achievement in their business or professional career.
Global Success Award
This award honours a business whose achievements are accomplished in the international arena, supporting the success of Canadian business competing in the global marketplace.
Innovation Award
This award honours a business with the ability to think creatively which has clearly demonstrated innovation, productivity enhancement and sustainability in growing their company.
Italian Hospitality Award
This award recognizes a business in the travel, tourism or hospitality industry which exemplifies the highest traditions of Italian hospitality excellence.
President’s Award
This award is selected by the President of ICCC rather than the selection committee. This award recognizes businesses or individuals for their outstanding contribution to the community.

Nomination Guideline
The Italian Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards were established to recognize and honour individuals and businesses that have changed the economic landscape of British Columbia and to celebrate the value that Italian – Canadians bring to Western Canada.
Criteria for Nominations
The main criteria when considering the nomination of an individual or business is overall excellence. The recipients should demonstrate outstanding contributions to our business community.
Selection Committee
A distinguished panel of community leaders will review the ICCC Business Excellence Awards nominations and select a winner per category. The members of our Selection Committee for the 2008 Awards are available on request.
Eligibility
Any business person residing in BC is eligible to nominate. Any Italian-Canadian Business person is eligible to be nominated. Any businesses in current operations in British Columbia that are majority owned by people of Italian origin and/or citizenship are eligible for nomination. The business must be licensed in the Province of BC, in good standing with Registrar of Companies and in business for at least 3 years.
