NEWS: ICCC is moving in Edmonton! As of February 15th, the office will be located at: #300, 10835-120 St, Edmonton, AB T5H 3P9. Telephone and fax numbers remain the same (780 428 5478 and 780 428 5479, respectively).
ICCC also welcomes our new Edmonton office manager, Milena Santoro, who has been a Chamber member and volunteer in Vancouver for many years. Our Chamber will benefit from her strong business background as a highly respected entrepreneur, teacher and community member. Milena's specialization in special events, hospitality, tourism and her fluency in Italian make her a valued and welcome member of our team.
You will be able to meet Milena at our next Edmonton members' event, a financial seminar organized in conjunction with RBC, which will be held on March 7th, 2007.
NEWS: The President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada - Vancouver Edmonton Calgary (ICCC), Lucio Sacchetti, was elected to the office of NAFTA Area Representative at the Area Meeting held at the Grand Hotel Serbelloni in Bellagio, Italy on October 22nd, 2006 during the World Convention of the Foreign Italian Chambers of Commerce.

NEWS: The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada is pleased to announce that as of January 1st, 2007, it will have a representative in Italy to develop new business opportunities for the Chamber. Bianca Anna Viarizzo is a consultant with many years experience of coordinating projects, liaising with all levels of government and sourcing business leads. ICCC has undertaken this step in order to better serve our members and clients in Canada and Italy.
NEWS: Members of the Italian-Canadian business community needed for a business discussion forum! The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada is currently undertaking "Project Itaca", a project subsidized by the European Union, involving in Canada the Italian Chambers of Commerce of Vancouver and Montreal and in Italy the Provinces of Veneto and Campania.

Alberta’s Abundant Energy
The Petroleum Human Resources Council of Canada recently estimated that the number of people directly employed in oil sands operations—currently about 50,000—will reach 80,000 by 2008. An additional 70,000 construction, manufacturing and service jobs will also be created—40 percent of them outside Alberta.
The Spring 2007 issue of Conexus will be an indispensable resource for ICCC members and professionals worldwide who are at the forefront of their industries.
