Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada in collaboration with Torino Chamber of Commerce and with the assistance of the BC Ministry of Economic Development and the BC Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat is organizing a trade mission to introduce shared Olympic bidding opportunities for Canadian companies interested in partnering with official suppliers of the Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games. This initiative not only offers an excellent opportunity to learn from the Olympic experience and expertise of the Italian companies in order to successfully bid on Vancouver 2010 related projects but also creates possibilities for long term international business collaboration, including technology transfers, cross marketing and distribution agreements in North America and Europe.

Five Torino based companies in the ICT sector and one in the design sector will be in Vancouver from September 20th to 22nd to share their Olympic experience during a seminar organized in collaboration with BC Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat and to meet directly with BC companies interested to create international partnerships with Italian counterparts and possibly partnering up for submitting Olympic bids to VANOC.

The Chamber will organize a networking lunch seminar on September 20th at the Sutton Place Hotel on Torino-Vancouver Olympic business opportunities which will include presentations from the Italian companies, a panel discussion with experts from 2010 Commerce Centre, the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry Associations followed by a question and answer period. Each of the Italian companies has an intense agenda of meetings with BC companies organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce.
