CSI-Piemonte is a consortium owned by 54 Public Administrations of the Piemonte Region active in the field of information technology and telecommunications since 1977. CSI-Piemonte coordinates several activities on behalf of the Regional and Local Governments and Municipalities of the Piemonte Region, in order to modernize the processes of the administrative agencies and favouring information exchange between different public administrations and towards citizens and industrial companies. CSI-Piemonte has implemented ICT solutions and services, designing, developing, setting up and operating applications and information systems in several innovating areas including e-government technologies, inter-administration data-exchange and data-sharing services, web-based applications, etc.
Brief description of Company’s products and services:
ICT Security
CSI-Piemonte set up and managed the security system for the TOROC networks and websites and for the Regione Piemonte, Cittá di Torino and ARPA (Regional Agency for the Environment Protection) websites. The system is based on IDS (Intruder Detector System). The company was in charge of vulnerability assessment on TOROC, Regione Piemonte and Cittá di Torino websites, in order to reveal and solve
potential lacks of infrastructures and services. CSI-Piemonte organized an assistance service 24/7 before, during and after the Olympics and Paralympics on all the managed services and infrastructures.
Websites Hosting and System Management
CSI-Piemonte hosted and managed TOROC websites from 1999 to 2005 and the Primary DNS for all the TOROC websites (torino2006.org, fiaccolaolimpica.it, agenziatorino2006.it, etc.).
