TORINO POST-OLYMPIC TRADE MISSION
Vancouver, September 20-22, 2006
Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada in collaboration with Torino Chamber of Commerce and with the assistance of the BC Ministry of Economic Development and the BC Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat is organizing a trade mission to introduce shared Olympic bidding opportunities for Canadian companies interested in partnering with official suppliers of the Torino 2006 Winter Olympic Games. This initiative not only offers an excellent opportunity to learn from the Olympic experience and expertise of the Italian companies in order to successfully bid on Vancouver 2010 related projects but also creates possibilities for long term international business collaboration, including technology transfers, cross marketing and distribution agreements in North America and Europe.
Seven Torino based companies in the ICT sector and one in the design sector will be in Vancouver from September 20th to 22nd to share their Olympic experience during a seminar organized in collaboration with BC Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games Secretariat and to meet directly with BC companies interested to create international partnerships with Italian counterparts and possibly partnering up for submitting Olympic bids to VANOC.

Enigen:ICT consulting and training, software development, web and graphic design
ATI Alpitel/EADS: equipment and services provider related to the implementation and maintenance of radio-communication and security systems for major events
Regola: ICT consulting and service provider in the Emergency & Health Care sectors
CSI Piemonte: ICT services and systems for public administration (agriculture,
forestry, environment, taxation, manufacturing, vocational training, education,
healthcare, social services, etc)
Artexe: products and services provider in the ICT sector focusing on solutions
integrating video/multimedia and network technologies.
Urmet Telecom: design, manufacturing and sales of telecommunication equipment & applications, such as payphones and kiosks, innovative CPEs, EFT/POS terminals, network terminals/modems, hybrid PABX, multimedia call centers, gateways & access servers, application servers, CO POTS splitters, core network monitoring & lawful interception probes and systems, control & data acquisition systems
Microntel: manufacturer and distributor of hardware and software solutions for security systems and data collection systems in three main categories: access control, time attendance and shop floor data
Easyhome: industrial, commercial and interior design products for people with disabilities and seniors (furniture, functional interiors, products dedicated to hospitals, medical clinics, hotels, community centres, old age homes and private homes)
