The time has arrived for Vancouver to enjoy an innovative restaurant dining promotion: “DINE ITALIA”- a celebration of Italian food and wine. April 20^th thru April 30^th, 2006. This event is destined to become one of Vancouver’s most talked about culinary promotions.

This new unique gastronomic experience will allow restaurant patrons to enjoy a three course set menu of delicious Italian cuisine at a price point of $20, $30, or $40. The target audience for this promotion will be all those who enjoy Italian food and wine bearing in mind that Italian cuisine is North America’s favourite dining choice.

Dine Italia will also educate the Vancouver population on the wonderful and distinct flavours of Italy. This initiative will also bring Italian foods and flavours into a diverse group of local restaurants.

An exciting element to the event will be Dine Italia’s contest: customers will receive a ballot form at the end of their meal to be entered into a draw for a personal Gaggia Espresso Machine from ECM Coffee Machines

2010 Olympic News

You are invited to an Olympic Seminar on May 12 which will inform BC Companies about the opportunities to procure Olympic business for the games of 2010.

The 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will offer unprecedented opportunities for Canadian companies to expand and reach new markets throughout Canada and around the world. The Vancouver Organizing Committee will spend upwards of $2 billion on goods and services preparing for the 2010 Winter Games. Another $2 billion will be spent indirectly in the run-up to the 2010 Winter Games by suppliers, sponsors, licensees, sporting delegations, athletic teams and visiting tourists.

The key to capturing some of this business is to start preparing now. We invite you to join Betty MacLeod, RBC Financial Group's Senior Manager, Olympic Business Development as she shares how businesses can begin developing strategies for success in 2010. Her practical, results-orientated presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
