25 Jun National Day of Québec: the Centro Studi Italia-Canada at the event organized by the Delegation of Rome
The evening celebrating the National Day of Québec, it was held on June 21, from 1834 set on June 24, the day of St. John the Baptist from 1908 is recognized as the patron saint of the Canadian province.
The location, the Savoy Hotel Roof Garden, in Rome, and the parterre of institutional representatives, the business world and the “friends” of Québec have framed the event organized by Marianna Simeone, Delegate of Québec in Italy, and from his team of attachés.
Among others, the Ambassador of Canada in Italy, Alexandra Bugailiskis, Ambassador Andrea Meloni – former Italian Ambassador to Canada, the Honorable Francesca La Marca, Deputy – North and Central America – of Italian Parliament and Ing. Luigi Nicolais, university professor, author of over 350 scientific publications, as well as former president of the CNR.
The Delegate, Madame Simeone, represents Quebec in Italy for almost a year and the economic promotion activities of the Canadian province in Italy was lively and constant. There were many events organized by the Delegation of Quebec and to which nevertheless participated, with whom relations between the institutional bodies, trade associations and the business network of the leading Italian industries and Quebec were encouraged. The occasion was pleased to encourage networking between the guests and was animated by a Québec quiz game with an air ticket for Canada offered by Air Canada. Air Canada, represented by the general manager Italy Stefano Casaregola, together with the Centro Studi Italia-Canada, in the person of the director Paolo Quattrocchi, Conseil Économique et Tourisme Haut-Richelieu e Québec International, were thanked by Madame Simeone for the participation as a sponsor of the Quebec National Day organized in Rome.
Air Canada in Italy is promoting a network of connections from Italy to Canada, and vice versa, which provides direct flights throughout the year: in fact, in addition to the seasonal flight Rome-Montreal, a direct flight from Milan to Toronto has been scheduled to operate all the year. Through its activities, Air Canada supports the Italy-Canada relations operating in the field of logistics and mobility, and this also in light of the ongoing implementation and the positive forecasts that the CETA agreement is manifesting in the tradebetween Italy and Canada.
The Centro Studi Italia-Canada, through the analysis, study, research and interaction between the parties, also promotes relations between the two countries and supports the strengthening of political and economic relations that occurred with the signing of the SPA and CETA.
