15 Feb Infrastructure & Mobility – Procurement Canada Project. A Canadian delegation meets Italian companies.
On February 17th in Rome at Ance, Italian and Canadian operators exchange ideas on mutual know-how and opportunities for collaborations in Canada, particularly in the urban mobility sector. An opportunity also to get to know how to participate with Canadian tender, open to Italian companies thanks to the CETA.
ICE Agency, in collaboration with Confindustria and with the support of sectoral associations,
organizes, among the activities of the Canada Procurement Project, the mission of a Canadian delegation in Italy.
On 17 February 2020 public and private sector operators from Canada will be in Rome, at the Ance, the National Construction Builders Association, to present their projects and contracts to some Italian operators.
The meeting will focus on a specific Canadian infrastructure projects still in the planning/development in the railway sector and urban transport which could involve interested Italian operators.

- Vancouver‘s Skytrain
- Edmonton Metro Line
- The extension of the Blue Line Metro in Montreal
- The integrated public transport network in the Waterloo Ontario region
Italian companies will also have the opportunity to learn more about how to participate in Canadian tenders, having a valuable space for sharing and networking with public and private entities from Canada, potential partners in projects of great importance.
Procurement processes and public tenders are matters dealt with by the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between the European Union and Canada (CETA). CETA has opened up to Italian companies the participation in tenders in Canada for goods and services, at all levels (federal, provincial and metropolitan). Furthermore, in the matter of procurement, CETA has fully implemented European legislation, with enormous advantages for European (Italian) entrepreneurs.
