In celebration of the month of the Italian Heritage, esteemed delegates from the Emilia Romagna region visited Vancouver for a series of face to face networking with Vancouver foodies, private meetings and B2B meetings with importers, food distributors and media from June 3rd to June 6th.

Emilia-Romagna Region Agribusiness Mission in Canada

Emilia-Romagna Region is organizing a follow-up agri-food mission included in the Memorandum of Understanding for the realization of integrated projects for the promotion of existing quality products with the Canadian Provinces of Québec and British Columbia.

The mission will be developed with the support of Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, and it will start from May 27th to June 7th 2019 with two key moments for companies, the first one in Montreal on May 30th and 31st, and the second one in Vancouver on June 3rd and 4th, all within the framework of the True Italian Taste project supported by the Italian Government.

During the mission, both high-level institutional meetings and trade, media and consumer events will be held, aimed at spreading at best the characteristics of the real Emilia-Romagna agri-food product.

This week, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West (ICCCW) successfully hosted here in Vancouver Philipp Breitenberger of the Italian Kiwiny brand, producers of quality organic Kiwis and Kiwi product lines.

Import / Distribution Opportunity: Face to Face with KIWINY

Kiwiny Jam Vancouver Italian Chamber Of Commerce

Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West will be hosting in Vancouver on September 20th-21st the company Kiwiny.

The company commercializes annually about 1,000-1,300 tons of organic kiwis and aims to reach 2,000 tons within the next three years. The Kiwiny line of products feature kiwi pulp smoothies which come in three flavours:

  • ‘Pure’ 0avours, with 80% kiwi,
  • ‘Red’, with kiwi and apple, and
  • ‘Yellow’, with kiwi and pear.

 

The line also contains three jams with the same range of flavours and four summer juices, which combine kiwi with classic flavours such as apple, pear and banana or exotic notes of coconut, pineapple and spicy ginger. Around 80% of the firm’s products are exported, of which half goes to Europe. The rest is exported overseas, despite the various phytosanitary barriers.

 

Interested food importers, distributors, and retailers who like to work with an experienced exporter of quality organic fruits can meet face to face with the company senior representatives through scheduled meetings.
