CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOPS
ON THE EUROPEAN UNION - CANADA RELATIONSHIP The
Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada has been awarded by the European
Commission a tender for the organization of a conference in Vancouver on June
15th, accompanied by workshops in Winnipeg (June 8th), Regina (June 9th)
and Edmonton (June 12th), to a target audience of the Canadian economic and business
communities as well as civil society. The objective of these
events is to stimulate Canadian interest in the European Union by informing the
audiences in Western Canada about the EU-Canada
economic relationship and its implications and by providing
an opportunity for dialogue and debate around some key issues:
- Current
state and core issues related to improvement of trade between the EU &
Western Canada (both EU and Canadian
Perspectives)
- Key
Regulatory Issues between the EU and Canada affecting
trade
- Scientific
Cooperation in Energy and Environment
- Climate Change &
Energy
- Aviation and the new
EU-Canada air transport agreement
These events are sponsored by the European
Commission and there is no cost to attend but space is limited and participants must register in advance by confirming their attendance to the Italian Chamber
of Commerce in Canada.
